Reading standards among eight and nine-year-olds in Scotland have fallen by 5% since 2012, a study has found.
THE SNP’s drive to improve literacy in schools lay in tatters last night after a survey revealed plummeting standards in reading and writing.
Official figures suggest that the SNP’s free tuition policy is backfiring on Scottish youngsters competing for a place at some of the most prestigious universities by attracting more students from the Continent.
At the 2007 Holyrood elections, the Scottish National party campaigned to “dump the debt” accrued by students at Scottish universities. It promised to service the existing loan debt for Scottish graduates “by meeting their annual loan repayments, re-introduce grants instead of loans and scrap the graduate endowment fee”.

This was posted on Scotland’s Big Voice. Its well worth a read to see exactly how the SNP are deliberately conning the Scottish public into believing that the cuts are because of Westminster. HOLYROOD has been holding back 100s of millions from public spending, and blaming Westminster. Continue reading “Underspend In OUR Finances”
